Alokino Gelato

What we are made of

At the base of our production method there is a fundamental principle: all the ingredients of our recipes are only raw or low processed materials, carefully selected and handcrafted at the time of preparation. In our exclusive balancing System, preservatives, artificial colourings, chemical agents or highly processed ingredients are not allowed in any way.

That is what makes the difference in our recipes: only fresh fruit, high quality plant-based milks, natural sugars and organic gums are chosen: a few genuine ingredients, where possible organic and local, selected to create a healthy and natural gelato.

Many Thanks to Mother Nature

Here are some of our most frequently used ingredients. For the rest of them, check out all of our delicious flavors.

Fresh Fruits

We carefully select our fruit from only the best suppliers, to guarantee quality and freshness, while also considering safety and sustainability. We source local fruit - and by local, we mean within 250miles of our kitchen.

Plant-based Milks

We carefully select our plant-based milks based on quality and sustainability. Our coconut, almond, and cashew milks are all unsweetened to reduce the sugar in our recipes.

Natural Gums

Their names are a bit strange, we know, but you’ll be surprised to know they are nothing but low processed, organic and gluten free beans that we use to give our products the creamy texture you love.

Guar Gum and Tara Gum are made from the seeds of the Indian cluster bean plant and the seed of the Tara Tree, respectively. The seeds are grounded and milled into fine white powders and come with no additives or preservatives of any kind.

Sweeteners

Our Sweeteners are 100% natural and gluten-free, with no harmful additives, artificial chemicals or genetically modified ingredients. We wisely choose between Erythritol, Xylitol, Brown and White sugar according to the different needs of our recipes to always find the perfect balance of taste and texture.
